Failure Analysis
Failure analysis is the process of determining why an engineering component or structure failed to perform its intended function.
Microstructural Evaluation
Analysis of metallographic cross-sections to determine grain size and morphology, phase distribution, inclusion content and distribution. Determine if microstructure and hardness are consistent with expected processing and heat treatment.
Corrosion Analysis
Evaluation of corrosion product, environment, and corrosion morphology to determine corrosion mechanism and possible solutions.
Materials Selection
Select appropriate materials for a given application with consideration to mechanical property requirements, environment, design life, manufacturing processes, cost, etc.
