About
Fasching Engineering
Audrey Fasching, Ph.D., P.E. began her engineering career over 30 years ago working for McDonnell Douglas in the large aircraft plant, where she specialized in manufacturing research and development of new materials. Upon completing her Ph.D. in 1995, she worked in research and development for Kaiser Aluminum, specializing in novel welding and joining of aluminum alloys. While her two daughters were young, Audrey served as an adjunct lecturer at Santa Clara University, where she taught several graduate and undergraduate courses in mechanical and materials engineering. During this time, she also worked hourly as a Senior Engineer at Exponent, Inc. Next, Audrey worked as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer at Memry, Corp. At Memry, Audrey was a corporate technical resource for all metallurgical, failure analysis, and corrosion issues related to nitinol tube and wire products. Most recently, Audrey worked as a metallurgical and materials consultant for Anamet, Inc. where she conducted numerous failure analysis investigations on products ranging from medical devices to pipelines, and materials including aluminum alloys, copper alloys, steel, stainless steel, nitinol, titanium and polymers. Audrey founded Fasching Engineering in 2021.
